In between days

Christmas seems a long way off already but it's turkey curry for tea tonight! Had a package in the post this morning from PT and RF - thanks so much guys. Currently transferring my Tommy Deluxe Edition CD (Xmas pressie!) onto iTunes so I can upload it to iPod, whilst simultaneously trying to work on 2 completely different projects for 2 differnet clients.

Very excited about the Who touring next year especially if Casbah Club support them. Just hope they announce dates soon before I book any holiday.

The band's CD was complete on Christmas Eve and (if I can do it) I'll try to upload a couple of tracks.

We're a covers band but I really want to get another band together in 2006 playing original material . . watch this space!!

20 years ago . . .

Found this pic taken in 1985 of me in my first band, Natural Art. That's me on the right singing, Craig in the middle (now a lighting tech on tour with who knows who - good name for a band!) and Justin on the left. I think the pic was taken in Benson's nightclub in Henley. Happy days!

Amsterdam then the Jazz Cafe

Off to Amsterdam at 3:30 in the morning just for 1 day (how depressing is that!) , then it's the gig at the Jazz Cafe on Tuesday night so I expect to falling asleep half way though most of the numbers (nothing new there then!) . . anyone going don't complain! We'll playing on and off from 9 'till 1.

Will post some pics but here's one from when we last played there . . . . me trying to look like I'm concentrating. The singer in the background, that was his first and last with us . . having moaned about the 'tempi' after the first set, he disappeared after the last never to be seen again.

What a great evening!

Had a fantastic time at Basement Jam last night - thank you so much to Rachel and Pete for allowing us to come. Music was awesome - blown away by Foy Vance as I've never seen him before (want to hear alot more!), Mikey was great, Simon has so much enerygy he rocks!!! Rachel and her band were tight and sounded great (really good songs) and Pete was just the rock God he is. I'm always in awe when he performs.

Here are some piccies - had a great vantage point and the beer was cold.
